Position Overview
FedEx Express is hiring Ramp Agents (also known as Material Handlers) to work on the airport ramp loading and unloading cargo aircraft. You will operate ground support equipment, build and break down cargo containers, and move freight between aircraft and the sorting facility. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position with premium shift differential pay and full FedEx benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo containers and bulk freight from FedEx aircraft using tugs, belt loaders, and dollies.
- Build and break down Unit Load Devices (ULDs) and cargo pallets per aircraft weight and balance specifications.
- Operate ground support equipment including aircraft tugs, container loaders, and cargo transporters safely on active ramp areas.
- Sort and stage freight for connecting flights and ground transfer to the sorting facility.
- Perform all duties in compliance with FAA, TSA, and FedEx safety regulations on the airport ramp environment.
Qualifications & Benefits
Must be 18+ years of age. Valid driver's license required for ground support equipment operation. Must pass TSA background check and obtain airport security badge (SIDA). Ability to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
